Indonesia Sumatra - USDA Organic
We think, that to thoroughly appreciate and enjoy a cup of coffee, we need to know its back story. Where did it come from? What was its growing altitude? How was it processed? What were the farming practices used? Who were the men and women who made it possible for me to sit and sip this deliciousness?
Allow us to introduce you to the Gayo Lauser Antara Cooperative.
The Coop was founded in 2015 when a group of farmers united, all with a shared commitment to organic farming practices.
In addition to producing high-quality coffee, these men and women are working side by side to cultivate a higher quality of life for each other.
So in the rich volcanic soil of Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia, these farmers work tirelessly. Carefully tending the trees. Thoughtfully, meticulously, harvesting and processing the cherries. Ultimately, producing a coffee that we enjoy so much.
So, you see, when we know a coffees back story, we get to know the “someone’s” who are behind the scenes, making our daily cup not only possible, but so very delicious. And to us, well, it just makes life a little richer.
